Eibar A/S is a joint venture between Scanmetals and Meldgaard Recycling, created to lead the recovery of metals and aggregates from Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) across Portugal and Spain. Combining decades of expertise, industry-leading technology, and a strong commitment to sustainability, Eibar delivers a complete, circular solution to the region’s waste-to-resource challenge.

With extensive experience from large-scale international operations, our partners are behind the treatment of over 1.5 million tonnes of IBA and the recovery of more than 60,000 tonnes of non-ferrous metals annually — performance benchmarks that guide Eibar’s own ambition and technical standards.

Our infrastructure includes mobile treatment plants available across the Iberian Peninsula for the processing of IBA Aggregates (IBAA), as well as a permanent facility in Spain dedicated to the recovery of non-ferrous metals. By closing the material cycle locally, we significantly reduce carbon emissions, eliminate waste to landfill, and return high-value materials to the market — particularly for use in construction and infrastructure projects.
